Respiratory care practitioners include both registered respiratory therapists(RRT) and certified respiratory therapy technicians (CRTT), they work to evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing and respiratory disorders. While most respiratory care practitioners work in hospitals, an increasing number of them have branched out into alternative care settings, such as nursing homes, physicians' offices, home health agencies, medical equipment supply companies and patients' homes.
